Surgeon Commander Kate Prior, MD, is a consultant anaesthetist in the Royal Navy and at King’s College Hospital in London where she does anaesthesia and major trauma. Being an expert on the delivery of self and buddy first aid, the use of novel haemostatics and tourniquets in pre-hospital situations, she excels in teaching how these lessons learned from the battlefield can be translated into civilian practice.
Additionally, Dr. Prior brings her medical skills to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and sporting events such as the London Marathon, while being a sportswoman herself.
