My qualifications are: MBChB, FRCA, FFICM, MSc(Critical Care), FRCPC, DipIMCRCSEd, DipRTMRCSEd and I am embarking on an MBA in 2018. I completed a post-graduate fellowship in trauma anaesthetics, critical care medicine and trauma team leading after my completing my CCT.

I am currently the Head of Department for the regional ICU at a university-affiliated hospital. I am also the regional medical lead for the Critical Care Programme and organ donation in Northern British Columbia in Canada, which covers a geographic area the size of France.

I have practiced medicine as a doctor in South Africa, Australia, UK and Canada and have worked in pre-hospital care, providing critical care skills since 2003.
